For patients who are missing teeth, chewing and speaking can sometimes be difficult, and gaps between teeth may make them reluctant to smile. At our Memphis practice, we offer dentures, dental bridges, and other restorative dentistry options to fill in the spaces left by missing teeth. Our dentists have the experience and skill to beautifully restore any smile to full function.
For people who've lost all of their teeth, our practice serving the Memphis area offers full and partial dentures as options for replacement. We also offer dentures supported by dental implants. Dentures restore a patient's ability to chew and speak with confidence, in addition to preventing sagging of the lips and cheeks and maintaining the natural contours of the jaws and face. When stabilized with dental implants, they also help prevent the extensive bone loss that is associated with missing teeth.
Full, partial, and implant-supported dentures can help people with missing teeth restore full function to their smiles. If you have lost several or all of your teeth, contact our practice, serving Memphis and surrounding areas, to learn more about dentures as a restorative dentistry option.
Metal bridges with indiscreet black lines at the gum line are thankfully relics of the past. At the Southern Dental Implant Center in Memphis, we offer all-porcelain dental bridges capable of filling the space left by one or more missing teeth. These porcelain bridges, which are similar to fixed or partial dentures, can correct problems with chewing and speaking while increasing your bite strength. Dental bridges include one or more artificial teeth that are attached to the adjacent teeth with porcelain dental crowns.
The placement of a porcelain bridge typically takes two appointments. During the first appointment, the teeth adjacent to the gap will be prepared for dental crowns, and an impression of the entire area will be made. This impression will be used to make your dental bridge. You may be fitted with a temporary bridge to protect your teeth until your permanent bridge is ready. Once we receive your dental bridge, you will return to our office to have it bonded in place.
In addition to the traditional placement of dental bridges, we are often able to attach a bridge with dental implants so that the surrounding teeth are not affected. If you are interested in either traditional or implant-supported dental bridges, contact our Memphis practice today.
If you are missing teeth, we have a restorative dentistry option that is right for you. At our practice serving the Memphis, Germantown, and Cordova areas, dentures, dental bridges, and other restorative dentistry options are used by our dentists to restore the beauty and function of their patients' smiles. Contact the Southern Dental Implant Center today to schedule a consultation with one of our dentists to find out which restorative dentistry options are right for you.
