The Sedation Dentistry Procedure
We offer Intravenous (IV) and oral conscious sedation dentistry at our practice. During both of these types of conscious sedation, you will remain alert and able to respond to the requests of the dentist and team, but you will be in a state of deep relaxation. You will be unable to feel pain and will emerge from treatment without remembering the details.
IV Conscious Sedation - Sedative medications are administered directly into the blood stream during conscious IV sedation. The IV delivery method allows the amount of sedative to be regulated. Our highly trained team will monitor your vital signs throughout your procedure and adjust the amount of sedative as is necessary to ensuring your safety and comfort.
Oral Conscious Sedation – You will be given a small pill to take about an hour before your appointment. You will need someone to drive you to our office. By the time you arrive, you will feel drowsy. We will monitor you throughout to ensure that you remain safe and completely comfortable.
